### 🔍 What’s New?

#### **QRIS MDR Updates**

MDR is determined by Bank Indonesia, while the Processing Fee is a separate service fee charged by DOKU. The updated QRIS MDR rates, effective from 1 October 2026, are as follows:

| Transaction Amount  | QRIS MDR |
| ------------------- | -------- |
| Rp100,000 and below | 0%       |
| Above Rp100,000     | 0.7%     |

### **DOKU Fee Updates**

The Processing Fee covers the use of DOKU's payment platform and transaction processing services, including fund transfers to your business.

**Effective 1 November 2026, new merchants registering for DOKU QRIS will be charged a Processing Fee** of Rp500 per transaction for transactions of up to Rp100,000, excluding applicable PPN.

**Existing merchants will continue to follow their current applicable fee terms.** If your business has a special pricing agreement with DOKU, the fees specified in your agreement will continue to apply as long as the agreement remains valid.

| Transaction Amount  | Processing Fee        | PPN (11%) | Total Fee |
| ------------------- | --------------------- | --------- | --------- |
| Rp100,000 and below | Rp500 per transaction | Rp55      | Rp555     |
| Above Rp100,000     | No additional fee     | Rp0       | Rp0       |

### **QRIS Fee Calculation Examples**

The following examples illustrate how MDR and DOKU Fee are applied based on the transaction amount.

**Example 1: Transaction of Rp80,000**

| Details                     | Amount                               |
| --------------------------- | ------------------------------------ |
| Transaction Amount          | Rp80,000                             |
| MDR                         | 0%                                   |
| Processing Fee              | Rp500 (transactions up to Rp100,000) |
| PPN on Processing Fee (11%) | Rp55                                 |
| Settlement Amount           | Rp79,445                             |

**Calculation: Rp80,000 - Rp500 - Rp55 = Rp79,445**

**Example 2: Transaction of Rp120,000**

| Details                     | Amount                             |
| --------------------------- | ---------------------------------- |
| Transaction Amount          | Rp120,000                          |
| MDR                         | 0.7% (Rp840)                       |
| Processing Fee              | Rp0 (transactions above Rp100,000) |
| PPN on Processing Fee (11%) | Rp0                                |
| Settlement Amount           | Rp119,160                          |

**Calculation: Rp120,000 - (0.7% × Rp120,000) - Rp0 - Rp0 = Rp119,160**

These fees are borne by you as the merchant, **not your customers**. You must not add a surcharge for QRIS payments. Customers should only be charged the listed price of your products or services.

###  ⚠️ Important Notes

* **Automatic Application:** The updated QRIS MDR rates are applied automatically. No action is required from merchants.
* **Separate Charges:** MDR is determined by Bank Indonesia, while the Processing Fee is a separate service fee charged by DOKU.
* **Merchant Responsibility:** MDR and the Processing Fee are borne by the merchant, not the customer. Additional charges for QRIS payments must not be passed on to customers.
* **Special Pricing Agreements:** Existing special pricing agreements with DOKU remain applicable according to their agreed terms.
* **Fee Updates:** The Processing Fee may vary depending on the applicable merchant pricing terms. Refer to official DOKU updates for the latest information.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.doku.com/changelog/october-2026/qris-mdr-update-and-processing-fee-updates.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
